By showing you these search engine tools, I hope to explain some of what we do at YourPMA, as well as expose you to a few search engine tools you may want to use in your efforts to maximize exposure with search engine tools and content marketing.
It is important that you understand we have no affiliation with any of these search engine tools, we have provided you links so you can see what they look like and use them. The knowledge you gain here is for your information and to help you understand the efforts that go into search engine and content marketing.
We will look at some performance measurement search engine tools that can give you a better idea how search engines see you website and your content marketing efforts:
Google Analytics – Quite simply, this is the most valuable and most important no cost search engine tool available to show actual website performance. Google Analytics can show you not only search engine activity, but which search engine is working best for your website, where traffic is coming from and what people are reading when they get to your website.
SproutSocial – This system lets you: 1. see all your social media engagement on one screen, 2. lets you schedule social media engagement by hour, day or week for all your social media platforms, and 3. has analytics to let you see how your social media is interacting with search engine results.
Cyfe – This very useful tool lets you put all of your tools in one dashboard, so you can monitor social media, analytics, marketing, sales and support infrastructure all from one screen. For me this is a real time saver and a great organizing search engine tool.
Searchmetrics – Seriously powerful and packed full of amazing data, the Searchmetrics SEO suite enables you to track, manage and measure your entire SEO campaign
SEMrush – Another well established and respected search engine tool in the search engine information optimization area. Search trends, competition, and dollars spent by your competition are among the hallmarks of taking the guesswork out of any marketing effort. SEMrush is a tool to help marketers understand what an organization’s competition is doing to get traffic and leads.
BuzzSumo - A very useful search engine tool, with BuzzSumo, you can filter through content relevant to your niche and sort it by the number of social shares across each social network. In addition, you can compare different domains against each other to see which site is producing the most popular content.
URL Profiler - URL Profiler enables you to extract big data from web pages in bulk so that you can perform content audits, link analysis and much more. This is a powerful analysis search engine tool to find search engine activity in your niche market. URL Profiler doesn’t just do one task, it can be configured to retrieve a large array of link, content and social data for almost ANY task, once you get the hang of it.
Consumer Barometer -A project created by Google, the Consumer Barometer gives free consumer insights across a whole range of sectors. This search engine tool is good for gathering stats on search engine activity to go into your content or to plug directly into your keyword research.
BONUS – Majestic – This tried and true system has been around for years and has some of the most accurate statistics you will find anywhere on your own website or on the competition’s website. You can discover what you are doing right and what the competition may be doing better to help adjust your strategy.
